Resolutions for 2011

Hi All,

I hope it has been a joy filled 2011 for you so far and I wish you all many happy months to come!

What New Year's Resolution have you made for 2011? - Mine is to get fitter! I used to play alot of sport, so this year I've decided to take up running. If you have a resolution and it involves running, why not face your first big challenge with the Great North Run, or if you would prefer a shorter distance to start with, why not go for the NRAS 10K in July? Not only have I decided to get fitter this year, I have also decided to take on an even bigger challenge - a skydive! I, along with 5 other members of the NRAS team are doing a skydive to raise money for NRAS! Please click here to sponsor us. Thank you.

We currently have 11 people signed up for the skydive, but we are looking for more! So if you are interested in jumping with us, please contact Val on 01628 501547 or email val@nras.org.uk

My 'Maids on Honour'!
We also launched our ‘Tea for 10’ recently which was a great success! I baked the 'Maids of Honour' from the celebrity recipes booklet, complimented by all which was a big surprise considering I can burn the simplest of things! All of the companies in the same building as us enjoyed their tea and cakes and returned for second helpings, so we must have done something right!  I would definitely recommend these from the recipe booklet. If you are interested in holding a ‘Tea for 10’ please click here to register and receive your fundraising pack.

In publications we have received a huge number of requests and we are doing our best to send them out as quickly as possible. If you haven’t received your order within a week, please do not worry, we do have your request and we will send it out to you as soon as possible.

Currently the ‘Employees Guide’ is being revamped so if you haven’t received your copy please accept our apologies, we will send out the new one to you as soon as it is ready. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The new ‘RAise it with your Doctor’ booklet has been a great success! With so many being requested so quickly, unfortunately we are now unable to send more than two copies for each healthcare professional.

To celebrate our 10th birthday, we are keeping a theme of '10' going, so why not do something in a group of 10? Do a skydive with 9 of your friends, a group marathon, one of  our overseas events or hold a ‘Tea for 10’. Whatever you decide to do, your support will be very much appreciated, and it will help us to continue our support for people living with rheumatoid arthritis.
.
Here’s to a successful year.

With Best Wishes
Tameena
