Hi,
All members will have received their New Year Magazine by now and work is well underway for the next edition which will be with you in April. Do let us know if your copy hasn’t landed on the door mat yet.
We are always pleased to get ideas for the magazine from members – so if you have any suggestions do let us know. We were also very pleased to welcome two new life members to the charity this week.

Campaigning for free prescriptions for people with long term health conditions has been in the news this week. NRAS is part of a coalition of charities who have been fighting to see that Gordon Brown keeps his promise about free prescriptions for those with long term health conditions. A review was carried out by Sir Ian Gilmore and we are eagerly awaiting the government’s response to this.
On Tuesday, the coalition delivered a letter to Gordon Brown urging him to keep his promise and there was a protest in Westminster by all the charities involved. Two NRAS members went along to represent us and give Gordon Brown a ‘Wake up Call’ about his promise.
If you have not yet signed the petition, please click here to do so.
Let’s hope for some good news!
