Thank you

Hello,

I thought I would take this chance to thank just a few of the many people who have helped us in the last week.

NRAS Members and Volunteers are lovely and always willing to help. In the last week some Members and Volunteers have helped us with the redesign of the Members Magazine, thank you for taking the time and trouble to give us your thoughts. We hope you enjoy reading the next issue which is being put together at the moment.

If you have rheumatoid arthritis and would like to see a copy of the NRAS Magazine produced for Members, just email us at membership@nras.org.uk

Our thanks goes to Professor Sir Mike Richards, who you may know, is the National Cancer Director. Why you may ask? This is because we are taking part in work Professor Richards is undertaking, at the request of the former Secretary of State for Health; to investigate the extent and causes of international variations in drug usage and his work covers a number of disease areas, including RA. As part of this work they are talking to us to get our views on this topic.

We know biologic treatments are more freely available in some other European countries than in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, this seems so unfair to people in the UK with rheumatoid arthritis. So we are keen to do anything we can do to change this.

This week Vicki, Jonny, Maxine, Kelly and Rachel chose to run for NRAS at the Great North Run this year. Thank you. And a big thanks to everybody who does events for NRAS and raises funds to maintain our valuable services.

Fancy doing a run? Talk to Val
Rather do a cycle ride, London to Paris? Talk to Val
Rather go somewhere warm, Sahara Trek? Talk to Val
Talk to Val on 01628 501547 or email val@nras.org.uk

Apologies for not mentioning everyone who has helped this week, we do appreciate all you do to help NRAS help people with RA have better lives.

Best wishes

Lynn Love
Director of Operations
