Fundraising on the World Wide Web!

There are many different ways to help us raise the much needed funds to support people with RA; from cycling, to skydiving, as well as car boot sales and even trekking across the Sahara – there is something out there for everyone!

However, if jumping out of a plane isn’t for you (although I would definitely recommend it!), there are lots of easy ways to raise money online. Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to take part too!

Recycle!
If you have old mobile phones (broken & locked ones too) or empty printer cartridges lying around your house, why not send them off and raise money for NRAS at the same time!
It’s very easy, all you have to do is email me (emma@nras.org.uk) and tell me how many freepost recycling envelopes you would like. When the envelopes arrive, put your old mobiles/cartridges in (up to 3 in each) and put them in the post.

Shop online!
Shop online at popular stores such as Amazon, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Next and Argos (click here for full list) through a website called The Giving Machine and the shops will give a percentage of sales to NRAS without your shopping costing you a penny more!

Dinner parties!
Plan a dinner party online using the Dinner4Good website and ask your guests to make a donation to NRAS. Dinner4Good will help you send out your invitations, plan your meal and collect the money. What could better than enjoying a meal and the company of your friends while raising money for charity?

‘Funky’ arthritis aids!
Funky Arthur is a great website which sells ‘funky’ arthritis aids like flowery walking sticks, automatic tin openers and coloured wrist splints! Every time you buy something from the Funky Arthur website and say that NRAS referred you to the site, we will receive a donation!

Sell on eBay!
Spring is approaching, and eBay is probably the easiest way to get rid of unwanted items, while raising a little extra cash for yourself at the same time! Why not choose to donate between 10% and 100% (if you are feeling really generous!) of your profits to NRAS by selling through eBay for Charity!

If you have queries about any of these online fundraising ideas, have an idea of your own which you may think we’d be interested in, or if you fancy jumping out a plane or doing something else a bit wacky to raise money for charity please contact us here at NRAS!
