The Big Red Button!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well?

As you are all aware, we went live with our brand new website in December. Since then, we have been working hard to get the second stage of the website up and running – the interactive bits!

The interactive parts of the site are a bit more complicated, as they have to be integrated with our database. This allows you, the user, to register and book yourself onto events; a very broad term which ranges from paying your deposit money for a skydive, to buying tickets for a Christmas Concert and registering yourself for an NRAS Group Launch Meeting. The second stage of the development will also enable you to give us feedback more easily with a simple online form, request a volunteer call, order and download publications, join as a member online, renew your membership if you are already a member, set up a direct debit online and much much more!

Some of you who are regular website users will notice that we went live with some of these new features about a week ago; however, we are still trying to iron out a few issues that appeared when we pressed the ‘live’ button (which I always imagine being a giant red button, but sadly it’s not – it would be much more fun if it was though!)

We are hoping that these issues will be resolved by the end of the week, so if you find yourself being taken back to the homepage when you click on a link, or you get an error message, please just give us a call and we will be able renew your membership, book you on a group, or whatever it was you were trying to do over the phone – we are more than happy to speak to you!

I also just quickly wanted to mention that we have charity places left for the Royal Parks Half Marathon, a fantastic run set in the heart of the London which takes you through the beautiful Royal Parks.

Places are going quickly so please email val@nras.org.uk if you are interested in running for NRAS.

Best wishes
Emma
